SERVICES

I provide a full range of architectural services to meet your needs.

Time charge

This type of fee is generally used when the commission is small, up to 6 - 7 hours work, or its nature is uncertain.

Lump Sum Fee

Once the scope of the project is clear to both parties, a lump sum fee can provide greater certainty and cost control.

Percentage Fee

This is an alternate way of calculating a fee, it is based upon the cost of construction.

Services

I believe experiencing good design is an important element to a happy modern life. In starting my own practice, I want to provide a quality personal service to my clients.
  • The practice is just me.
  • No big overheads & No VAT
In maintaining an income below the VAT threshold, the cost of professional fees I believe can be made more affordable.
Each client will be given a free fee proposal as part of the initial consultation. During this consultation the scope of the project, your ideas along with the type of fee and the amount of professional input you need for your project can be discussed.
In order to help you prepare for a consultation with me, I would suggest considering the following six points:

01 Design

Whether you have a scrap book full of images, a few photographs of something you have seen, an image from a programme, or just some ideas in your head. Bring them along

02 Control

You can decide on how much say you want in the selection of materials, products and systems?

03 Time

How quickly do you want your project finished?
Are you happy to take a little more time to get the details just right?
How much of your time do you have to give to this project?

04 Money

Think about the amount of money you have available for the whole project, not just the construction budget.
Is the budget a fixed amount or approximate?
Do you have a contingency or back up finances?

05 Quality

Think about what are the most important aspects of your project.
Are these qualities, materials such as windows, and doors or
are they daylight, sunlight and space or
are they about where products are made and from what.

06 Risk

Have you considered how you view risk?

There are no right and wrong answers, there is no pressure to bring answers to all of the above points, they are here just to start off a truly amazing journey.
